MathSnap

A distinctive range of digit cards offering light-hearted mathematical matching activities for players of differing ages and abilities.

Depending upon the rule selected, two cards may match through addition, multiplication or another mathematical relationship. For example—

Activities using MathSnap cards

If the 'Addition' rule is played–

snaps with–

and so does–

If the 'Multiplication' rule is played–

will snap with

For a more difficult game both the '+' and 'x' rules might apply. Any two of these cards will snap–

More rules require more mental agility: conversely more cards are available for more frequent snapping.

Numerous additional rule combinations can be invented and combined: to match the players' wishes.

The Cards

The examples above involve bi-digit cards. The full mathematical set of these is 55 cards. Enjoyable games require judicious pruning of the full set to match younger abilities.

Tri-digit cards require a set of 220 cards. The choice of rules, and selection of cards in use, becomes slightly more taxing: the mental agility is very taxing.
